The Eden Project

The Eden Project is a must for any visit to Cornwall. A wonder of the West it was created from an old quarry and is now regarded as one of the most inspiring and imaginative visitor attractions in the world. The main features are the massive Biomes, one of the Rainforest the other the Mediterranean which are like 'worlds within worlds' and offer the ooprtunity to come up close and personal to all manner of exotic plants, tress and fauna whatever the season or weather.
Other features onsite are several cafe/restaurants, the longest zip-wire in England, the Weee Man built from 3 tonnes of household waste products, a giant bee and The Core where you can get involved with hands on experiments and learn about everything from ecosystems and evolution to climate change and plant resources.
Sometimes Eden hosts The Eden Sessions, a music venue like no other which has seen all manner of music acts from Sir Elton John to Duran Duran to Motorhead. 
There is plenty of parking onsite and if you are planning a visit during School holidays we recommend arrival before 10.00 am to avoid the crowds.
